I am so tired of hearing these 're' words they are saying…
How do they dare to re visit and re hash and question what has been done once and for all?
How do they dare to re invent what is finished?
Or re imagine something that the Lord purchased and builds and adds to?
These words are all just part of the fig leaf atonement.
Ways to get to God on their own.
Because they don’t want the animals skins or the sacrifice or the blood, it’s just so NOT green...so messy and cruel, so environmentally unfriendly, so politically incorrect. What’s with the blood, they say? So they sew together their own coverings.
What ever happened to knowing the truth? Those who love it can spend hours researching a book that opposes it, to warn others that, hey, look out, don’t be beguiled into believing this new fig leaf atonement idea because it’s as old as Eden. The hard work and research might be read by hundreds (.5% of which will leave a comment) and though it’s good enough that God alone sees, and that He honors a heart that loves His truth, He sends a few of His servants along with timely encouraging words, just enough to hold up weary arms.
To all those who are encouragers, who love the truth and know where the truth battle is being fought, if you are tired of hearing about the re words, know that you are not alone. Know that the battle is not ours, but the Lord's, and all we do must come out of our love for Him.
Is this the beginning of the great apostasy? I can’t say that for sure. Many of these ‘new’ ideas of revamping truth have been around since the birth of the bride. The father of lies does hate her so, and wants to defile her. He is old and crafty, and has lied since the beginning of time. The internet has only helped us to see the infiltration better. I’m not old and wise yet, but I do believe that the almost right gospel has never been as blatant, in your face, in your church, in your Christian book store, as it is today. With the explosion of knowledge in these last days has come an explosion of deception and an implosion of discernment.
And that’s why we must read our Bibles and know the truth. You cannot trust in words of men and books and things. Don’t even trust in what this blog has to say about books and things.
The time has come when we must trust in God, and know His Word. Not in the reinvented Jesus Christ and the new gospel.
Psalm 56
1Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
2Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
3What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
4In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
5Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
6They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
7Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.
8Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
9When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
10In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.
11In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
12Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
13For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

You sound a little mad Carla!
You have reminded me of some scripture which I may blog about later on.
Good post!
I don't know if mad so much as sick and tired of all this garbage that's floating around. I'm sure you know it well.
I thought your latest post was good. I linked to it somewhere in this one.
I notice the link, thanks :)
Mad is not the right word I know.... I wrote the reply just after 6.30 in the morning here.
Sick and tired/frustrated/grieving/saddened are all appropriate words. A real mixed bag of emotions can be stirred up when we see that the blood of the cross is becoming something that is even debatable within Christendom!
Paul talking about works says that he would not boast in anything accept in the cross of Christ and Him being crucified.
Gal 6:14 But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
This new way of thinking is totally antithetical to what the gospel actually is.
No I am going to go now and get ready for the day... I haven't had my breaky or a coffee, and I need substance.
Amen sista!
Go caffeinate thyself!
Hi,
I'm one of those, not even in the 5% group, that follow your blog without encouraging you and thanking you for sharing your findings and thoughts.
For some years, I too, have been wearying of these new and other gospels, but until I stumbled upon your blog (and livingwater, too) I thought it was must be something that was off in me and my understanding of God's Word.
Thank you for your voice and your courage to say what I wish I could say, but still only feel in my gut somehow. Yet, through your postings, I see that God is helping even tongue-twisted me, to be able to share the Hope within me to those around me.

Bless you Becky in Japan! So that must be your little Japan flag that pops up in my stats now and then. Thank you for commenting!
Stay in His Word, and He will give you the guts to say what's in your guts.:)
