Well here’s some good news.
I have heard back from them, which is MUCH MORE than I can say for many other ministries that often will not take the time to personally address concerns. This speaks volumes of Precepts and I respect them even more than I already did. In fact, they not only answered me, but thanked me for voicing my concern (even if my friend just received pretty much the same letter, they do personalize it somewhat). And they gave me permission to share the following:
Here is part of the e-mail I received this morning from their spokesperson…
"Precept Ministries exists to assist the local church in the task of “Establishing People in God’s Word.” Our vision is (that) people who are established in God’s Word…would be living as exemplary followers of Jesus Christ, studying the Bible inductively, viewing the world biblically, and serving the church faithfully in the power of the Holy Spirit. To accomplish our mission and vision, Precept Ministries has many facets, including radio, television, conferences, training, and inductive Bible Study.Awesome!
… in the light of this mission and vision it is Kay’s heart and desire to go and speak in those places she is lead by the Lord to go. She feels very strongly that regardless of who may also be speaking at the conference with her that she is still to go. The reason is not only do the other speakers need to hear someone who speaks and teaches from the Word of God but those who have come to the conference also need to hear the truth from the Word of God. Many times she is the only one on the program that shares from the Word of God. She does this without compromise and she does not shrink back from declaring the whole Word of God. Often as a result of her strong message using the Word of God she does not get asked back to speak again. Even at conferences where everyone is on the same page doctrinally Kay is often the only one sharing from the Word of God. She stands out no matter where she speaks. I can assure you Kay has not changed her doctrine and in no way changes her message depending on the group she speaks to or whoever may also be on the program to speak. It is her hope that they will hear the truth and change. How can they hear the truth if those who speak it are absent? Yes, she risks being associated with them by being on the same program but she has decided that sharing the truth through the Word of God is more important. The leadership of Precept Ministries also stands by her decision to do so."
I just wanted to share that so that those concerned in the body of Christ don't get the wrong impression and become discouraged. So I'm assuming (and hoping), by the way this is worded, that Kay Arthur fully understands what is going on and is simply being obedient to the Lord. She is a good example to us. Let's all be praying that God will give her the words to speak amidst this emerging church saturated conference (she's already got the boldness), and that ears will be opened to receive the truth.
2 Timothy 4:2-4...
"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."

She needs our prayers more than anything!
There will be a real divide in the teaching at this Break Forth conference. I wonder how it will all go down?
She is definately entering the battle field, but I hope that her speaking at this conference does not appear to those who attend that she endorses some of the other mystic/gnostic teachings. That would be my main concern for her, that she is not lumped into the same basket and I hope she makes a very clear stand against very unsound teaching.
I pray that the Holy Spirit gives her the words...
I am not sure if this can apply, but this is the verse I was drawn towards..
Luk 12:3 "Because whatever you* said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you* spoke to the ear in private rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
Luk 12:12 "For the Holy Spirit will teach you* in that very hour what it is necessary to say."
I pray for a very public Word of God in total Truth to be heard.
I pray for you Kay!!!
I pray for God's strength and His wisdom to be with you! Please stay true to His Word, please do not compromise! Perhaps now is the time to proclaim it on the housetops!
I pray that you will be heard by those who are genuinely seeking the Truth that can be found only in the Word of God.
