What's With the Twelve Elders Thing?

This is something that popped up in my mailbox today...

Okay...so, I've heard about the 12 tribes of Israel, and the 12 apostles, but here is a new thing. It's about the group of ten, soon to be the twelve "elders"...and here is what they are talking about...

• The ancient dream of aligning virtue and power
• Threats to the survival of the planet
• The UN is more important than it was before
• We have to stop wars and bring about peace

Nelson Mandela...Jimmy Carter...Desmond Tutu...Kofi Annan...hope I spelled those right.
