A most sickening thing I often get sent by my watcher friends is clips of John Crowder. We all laugh and shake our heads, but truthfully, it's not so funny. This guy takes the cake (or is it...tokes the cake). I personally think he's a nut, really...
John Crowder - Sons of Thunder

Or is it...sons of blunder. They have certainly made a mess of things. Wow, what a bad mistake these guys are making by misrepresenting the Holy Spirit the way they do. (Read about Crowder's Slosh Fests in one of my older posts, HERE...it's also one of my more googled posts, seems a lot of people are interested in Slosh Fests these days.)
I pray that John Crowder and friends will soon be convicted and repent of this mockery, because they are leading many astray, as evidenced by the numerous youtubes I have watched of him and his groupies who think they can physically inhale - "toke the Ghost" - and manifest spiritual drunkeness, etc. (here, here, and here). A very sad one that I've watched is of a beautiful girl named Penny who is on many youtubes "whacked in the glory." Pray for her.
May God open their eyes and rescue them from this deception. This is no time to be spiritually drunk! By the way, the Bible does not instruct us to be drunk in the spirit, but to be filled with the Spirit rather than being drunk!
Note: Speaking of Slosh Fests, here is another batch of strange manifestations in this video of John Scotland speaking at Slosh Fest 2008.
15Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. 18Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. 19Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5 (NIV)

UPDATE:
Coincidentally, Apprising Ministries has a new post on John Crowder today as well, which can be read here:

These guys literally make my blood boil. I watched one video online where they all went to a Walmart and "fell out under the power" as they writhed around on the floor mumbling.
God's glory is not something to make light of. What saddens me is the hoardes of youth that are buying in to this "movement". (Don't even get me started on the adults!)
Why anyone would buy into this is beyond me.
John Crowder is a genius. Everything I read from him leaves me hungering for more of Jesus, His Word, His Spirit, His reality. Humans were made to live in the garden of Eden, which was the garden of "pleasure". Not worldly pleasures, but the pleasure of knowing Jesus as Lord. We get to live in constant celebration of what He's done, in the joy of our salvation! I'm thankful John is putting himself out there to reveal what God never wanted hidden!
For the record, I am not one of the youth that is buying into this movement. I am an adult, and a pastor. Believe me, as my church has embraced the finished works of Jesus Christ, they have been filled with strength through the joy of the Lord. More love is shared, more healings occur, more people are set free, and everyone is crazy about Jesus! Yes sir, Jesus is the point. Bless you with joy in Him today!

...this makes it all the sadder...
may the Lord grant you spiritual discernment ASAP
Q: "Why don't you like John?"
A: "Because [insert name calling]!"
Because the references to Catholic Mysticism and drug culture disturb you.
How bout you let people worship the way they want to?
No one is stopping people from doing what they want - not even God. And that is the most amazing part of all.
His mercy and grace are beyond my understanding.
I think I remeber people saying the same things about Jesus. Be careful about judging things that are different. Jesus was judged because he was different. He wasn't the Christ the Jews had come to IMAGINE that he would be. they wanted a political leader, but he was much more. I think that we all need to realize that were on the same team and Jesus is all that matters. The Word says you cannot even recognize that Jesus is Lord without the Holy Spirit. Paul said "that he became all things to all men so that some would be saved." Its all about Jesus Guys. You dont have to participate in everything John does or even believe in it. Jesus told the desciples that whoever was not against us if for us. That was after they got upset for doing things in the name of Christ that they didn't agree with. What John is doing may not be your cup of tea, but dont slander him.
Anonymous,
There is absolutely NO comparison between Jesus and John Crowder. Jesus was not recognized by Israel at his first coming, as prophesied, so that we Gentiles could be grafted in to the promise. John Crowder is just “different” (who cares if he is different? ) he is a false teacher!
We are not all on the same “team” – the Benny Hinns, Todd Bentleys and John Crowders are false prophets, and Paul spoke out about false teachers and named them. The Bible tells us that in the last days the time will come when the people will not endure sound doctrine but will gather false teachers around them who tell them what their itching ears want to hear (2 Tim. 4:3) – that time is now! Jesus said to beware of the false prophets, and warned about deception many times.
Paul became all things to men, meaning that he adapted to the customs in the places he was in – in order to NOT be a stumbling block to whoever he was ministering to (Jews or Gentiles) for the sake of the gospel. John Crowder is being a stumbling block and a deceiver. Paul did not participate in, or imitate, sin to convert sinners and sorcerers. John Crowder is acting like a stoned drunken zombie – how is that being all things to all people? Does that mean we are to become prostitutes to reach out to hookers? Give me a break! The Bible says that deceivers will grow from bad to worse, deceiving others and themselves. (2 Tim. 3:13).
Paul wrote to Titus 6Likewise urge the young men to be sensible; 8sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us. that in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified (Titus 2:7).
He told Timothy that some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons (1 Tim. 4:1).
And as far as recognizing that Jesus is Lord is concerned, the demons believe Jesus is the Lord and tremble, because Satan is their Lord and master, and they know their time is short. We are to believe He is Lord, yes, but we are also read and obey His Word.
(But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:22)
The ½ brother of Jesus (in Jude 1:4) warned about those who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. John Crowder appears to be all about licentiousness, not Jesus.
It’s ‘all about Jesus you guys,’ you say. You are right, because one day Jesus will turn to those who have done miracles in the name of Jesus and say – Depart from me, I never knew you. Check out Matthew 7 and 25 and weep for the Crowders of this world, and pray for their repentance.
