He Has Done A Great Thing!

Every once in a while, something comes along in life to throw you off balance for a while. It might be a storm, a trial, a battle, a valley, or some gut wrenching situation where you feel your heart is being torn and crushed to a pulp. It’s during times like this, when you wake up every morning and feel like your life is the bad dream, that all you can do is call upon the name of the Lord, and cling to Him every moment of the day. It’s during these times that your only strength can be found under the shadow of His wings. Everything you once were interested in pales in comparison to your distress and your supplications to God.

But if your feet are standing on the Solid Rock, no matter what is happening all around you, you will make it through the hard time.

And so, the reason I have not blogged is because it has been a time like this through which I have just come, but today I can say with confidence that it has come to pass, because the Holy God that we serve has done a great thing!

He is such a merciful and loving Father, Good Shepherd, and Deliverer, that He leaves the ninety nine and goes after the one that is lost. He runs to the prodigal who wakes up in the pig pen, and returns home, broken. He spares the firstborn when He sees the blood on the doorpost, He rescues those who call out to Him, delivering them from Egypt and the clutches of the dragon who rules the kingdom of darkness, whose only intention is to devour and destroy souls.

Our God is all powerful!

I pity those who don’t believe the devil is real....and who don’t believe that Jesus’ sacrifice and final atonement for our sins has given us His power over sin and death. What a powerless life they must live, as Christians in name only.

What a thrill it has been to walk in His power, and to watch Him do a great miracle. God works behind the scenes, He strengthens us, and helps us wait while He works out the details. He knows the beginning from the end, and what the puzzle will look like when all the pieces are put together, because He painted the picture. He is the author and finisher of our faith.

So today I just want to give all the glory to my God on this blog, because He alone is worthy of being mentioned. As far as regular blogging, I will return to that soon (if I can remember how to). But for today, I am still in awe of His mighty power and the things He has done in rescuing my daughter from the hands of the enemy.

He is faithful!

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Colossians 1:13,14

And by the way...here's a thing I must share. Do you know that the most comforting thing a child of God can do while going through a trial is to worship the Lord? Soon enough, this life and its trials will pass, and we will be with our Lord for all eternity, and He will wipe the tears from our eyes. No matter what you are going through....worship Him, because He is worthy, and He is listening, even if you don't think He is! So here's a beautiful thing to listen to, and sing along with unto the Lord, if you are going through a difficult time of testing...

I really needed to read this post! I am so happy that you kept God your focus, as should I!

I still am in the storm a bit to be honest with you. Although there was a small breakthrough today! Praise God for that!

I must rest in Him. I know that.

Thanks again Carla.
