It's pretty simple to deactivate your account, but there is a difference between account deactivation and deletion. Did you know...
...your information still resides on Facebook's servers because, as Facebook says, roughly half of people who decide they don't want a Facebook profile page change their mind and reactivate it...this shouldn't be the case.So here's how:
Deleting the account, though, isn't as clear to Facebook users.

Even when you have finally deleted your account, surprise, Facebook says it will still take another 14 days to complete your request (just incase you can't face your addiction withdrawals?).

I always had a sneaking suspicion that the Government was gleaning information from social network sites such as Facebook! How easy would it be to find those who speak against the Government and to find those who are real Christians who are... lets face it ... non conformists.
It's a perfect tool to find out everything about people who are affiliated with others who may be classed as potential threats to a one world government system!
I quickly opted out of facebook. What i thought would be an experience of sharing what God was doing in our lives, quickly turned into what others were watching on TV and movies they went to see. etc.etc.
It was taking time away from more important activities...for me anyway.
