Bentley Boldly Going Forward?

It's a disturbing thing that Todd Bentley is supposedly being 'restored' to make his big comeback - and a very strange thing in light of all that has occurred. His former Canadian based Fresh Fire ministry, which has been newly transformed into Transform International (http://www.freshfire.ca/), states that "Todd will guide the other ministry, which will retain the name Fresh Fire Ministries (FFM), operating both in the USA and Europe. Going forward with Todd Bentley at the helm, FFM will be based in Fort Mill, South Carolina." This is most unfortunate, as the shenanigans going on during his late great grand exit, not to mention his bizarre teachings and associations, disqualify him from going forward in any so called ministry. (Note: see here and here.)

And so here's a peculiar little thing that I wonder if anyone else has noticed. In light of all his angel (alien) visitations and out of body trips to the third heaven, and getting beamed up now and then, don't you think it's rather interesting that the title font on Todd Bentley's new Fresh Fire website (www.freshfireusa.com) bears an uncanny resemblance to the Star Trek logo? Is there a hidden message behind this font choice? Since the theme of Star Trek is to boldly go where no man has gone before, it does seem to jive with Transform International's statement that this new ministry is going forward with Todd Bentley at the helm.

Hmmm...as they said in the 70's - far out, man.

Speaking of Star Trek, while I was looking for a logo picture to confirm my suspicions, I came across this Trekky Bible study thing:
Star Trek (2009)

How do you prepare for God's call to boldly go where no one has gone before?

Star Trek can stimulate discussions about the connection between love and sacrifice, the nature of calling, and dangerous desire for vengeance. Star Trek can also inspire talk about the relationship between leadership and servanthood, and between grace and judgment.

Brother. What will they think of next?

I can see it now, a Star Trek themed VBS teaching kids how to be peaceful with all races and religeons based on Gene Roddenbury's ideals. I love Star Trek as much as anybody else, but we need to get things in perspective here. God's word is truth, and inspired, and everything we need for our Christian lives is in those pages.

Thank you for the link.

Todd Bentley's webanar September 1(20 dollars to download the video platform for an hour of 'chat' is probably a trial ballon to see how the former fan base and left behind employees are going to respond.

Will be interesting.

Blog on!
