Get this - Ken Wilber and friends will be setting out on a five year journey to find their Unique Selves through integrated perspectives of Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, New Spirituality, Integral Psychology, etc. AND...after finding their unique selves, they will be given help identifying the practices needed to uncover their deepest and truest Self.
You know, I could save them all a lot of time and just tell them they are all probably going to end up meditating on their uniquely common navels. It's actually kind of sad when you think about these searching souls who are seeking in the wrong direction. But since Rob Bell seems to truly admire Ken Wilber (and thus far has not repented of his recommendation), I can only wonder if Bell will also be recommending this journey to his devoted followers and fans. More importantly, I wonder what it will take for the youth pastors and teachers in Christian highschools who are using Rob Bell videos, and Christian book store owners who are profiting from Bell's books and things, to stop spreading his influence and start practicing some biblical discernment and recognize this compromise for what it is before our Holy God.
