The New Green VBS

VBS definiton: (abbrev. va-ca-shun Bible skool) noun:
-traditionally a week long thing done in churches or back yards where children go to learn about the Bible and invite the neighbor kids to come along

Now here's a new kind of VBS for the new kind of Christian. Um, okay, these are all good things and all, but since when was VBS about recycling and changing the world? Don't kids hear enough of that in school? Check this one out:

A personal opinion here, so take it for what it is worth. We are called to love God and all mankind. And if there is a way we can use the process of recycling to love others, then we should. But it is what it is. It's a natural process. We love others by keeping our trash off the street and in a landfill. We love God by trusting Him that He will take care of us with the mound of trash growing daily. Recycling isn't our Saviour or Messiah. Christ is.

Right Marcian. Recycling is great and we should be good stewards of the earth, and good examples and witnesses to others, but first and foremost, whether teaching children or going into all the world, we Christians had better make sure they have heard the gospel and then disciple them in God's Word...lest they end up in Satan's garbage pile.
