Who is Esa, whose name RW prayed in? Well, it is the Arabic name for Jesus, according to the Koran (or "Isa", see here).

According to one Muslim blog I read, one of the fundamental differences between the Christian's Jesus and the Muslim's Jesus is that the Quran calls Jesus ‘Esa’ and refers to him simply as the son of Mary whereas the Bible refers to him as the son of God. This is a big difference.

Since when does an evangelical pastor pray in the name of the Muslim Jesus? When he is part of the multi-faith One Sabbath, that's when.

That's My King

Christ is not just an experience, a high, or some mystical presence to give us rapturous visions and drunken glory. He doesn't want people who are "addicted to pleasure," as the Crowders of this world would have you believe. He is the King of Kings, who loves us so much He died for us while we were yet sinners (addicted to ourselves and pleasure) and rose again to set us free from the bondage of sin and death.

Today I wanted to post the most uplifting thing I've seen and heard on the internet in a while...there are so many renditions of this one, there's even a rock version which I don't like (because of too many Passion of the Christ clips, for one), but here are my top two picks. Okay...speaking of Crowder (see Crowder Chowder), I just discovered he has written a book...

- Understand different levels of contemplative/interior prayer and gain a Biblical understanding of Christian mysticism.
- Explore the ecstatic states of prayer, spiritual trances and learn to walk in a place of continual joy and pleasure before the Father.
- See the supernatural, miraculous phenomena that has occurred during ecstasy in the lives of the saints.

Unfortunately, the ecstatic trance states of mystics such as St. Teresa of Avila, the Spanish mystic who actually levitated, are not what Christians should be striving to experience. The joy we experience as Christians as we walk in the power of the Holy Spirit is, rather, a peace that Jesus gives us in the midst of life's storms and trials as we trust in Him, not drunken ecstasy or out of body experiences that non-Christians can also achieve through meditation and occult practices. (On that note, how interesting that if you go over to amazon.com and look inside this book, you will see that Chapter 13 is called Levitation in Ecstasy. You can also read Chapter 1, if you are researching this, and note the section about "the coming corporate trance" where "God is coming to brainwash us." If I may be so bold as to comment, the only one who is coming to brainwash us into this sort of thing will be the anti-Christ!)

I'll give this book a giant RED FLAG ALERT! (And yes, that was the Catholic Sacred Heart of Jesus you saw on The New Mystics website, surprise surprise.)

A most sickening thing I often get sent by my watcher friends is clips of John Crowder. We all laugh and shake our heads, but truthfully, it's not so funny. This guy takes the cake (or is it...tokes the cake). I personally think he's a nut, really...

Or is it...sons of blunder. They have certainly made a mess of things. Wow, what a bad mistake these guys are making by misrepresenting the Holy Spirit the way they do. (Read about Crowder's Slosh Fests in one of my older posts, HERE...it's also one of my more googled posts, seems a lot of people are interested in Slosh Fests these days.)

I pray that John Crowder and friends will soon be convicted and repent of this mockery, because they are leading many astray, as evidenced by the numerous youtubes I have watched of him and his groupies who think they can physically inhale - "toke the Ghost" - and manifest spiritual drunkeness, etc. (here, here, and here). A very sad one that I've watched is of a beautiful girl named Penny who is on many youtubes "whacked in the glory." Pray for her.

May God open their eyes and rescue them from this deception. This is no time to be spiritually drunk! By the way, the Bible does not instruct us to be drunk in the spirit, but to be filled with the Spirit rather than being drunk!

Four Book Reviews - Could the Anti-Christ be a Muslim? (Updated)

Could the Antichrist possibly be a Muslim?

Dr. David Reagan (Lamb & Lion Ministries) recently set out to answer this question by reviewing four books on the topic. (I found these book reviews particularly interesting, especially since this has become an issue of importance to many Christians who have recently been listening to one of these authors, former terrorist Walid Shoebat, who says the anti-Christ will be a Muslim. And here's one more question...do we really need to know if the anti-Christ will be a Muslim? And most importantly, I think that it is a shame when divisions rise up between Christians over their interpretations of things to come. For example, some of my friends are pre-wrathers (they believe in a mid-trib rapture, I believe in a pre-trib rapture), but I don't feel the need to be at odds with them over their views, as we are all one in the body of Christ...brothers and sisters in the Lord. In the same way, I do hope these reputable ministries can sort things out peacefully without causing any damage to the body - encouraging our crafty enemy, the devil, who loves it when we divide over non-essentials.

I've read about four of his books and found them to be quite thought provoking. But I didn't know that Christian author Randy Alcorn was recommending Richard Foster's book Celebration of Discipline.
