McLaren's New Book Earns Him a Spot with the Spiritual Teachers of this World

Oh brother...this is about Brian McLaren's new book, A New Kind of Christianity...
With the ringing endorsement of his heretical new book A New Kind of Christianity by the interspiritual website Spirituality & Practice Brian McLaren has finally made the cut into the Living Spiritual Teachers Project (LSTP) of Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat.
It was only a matter of time. To fully understand the ramifications of this, read the whole thing, and click on all the links, here:

Sadly, there are 11 copies of McLaren's new book in stock at the big Christian book store in our city, as well as at least a dozen other books authored, or co-authored, by him. That doesn't even include all the books that have his endorsement on the back cover.

When the Christian owners of a Christian book store sell books that are detrimental to a Christian's spiritual health by an author who is considered to be in the same league as Deepak Chopra, the Dalai Lama, Thich Nhat Hanh, Eckhart Tolle, and Marianne Williamson...what does that tell you?

Christians, are we awake yet? What will it take?

I know the owners of that bookstore, and they have walked away from the truth along time ago. My father actually confronted one of the owners over some of the books they were carrying about 5 years ago, and it fell on deaf ears. Dad said after he confronted them, he did not feel very welcome anymore when he went to shop there. I am sure this is only one of many stories like this.

Very sad.

And if Christian book store owners were to take warnings, like the one from your dad, to heart, submit to God's authority in His Word, and acknowledge their very serious responsibility as representatives and embassadors for the name of Jesus Christ - do you think that maybe half of their shelves would be empty, and they might lose their business?

I think they could possibly lose their business, as most people would just shop elsewhere to get what they wanted. Sad part is that as Christian business owners, some people are not trusting God to provide for their needs when they remain faithful to God, and his word. God will always provide a way for you to care for your family when you walk with Him. You may not get rich, but you will have everything you need.
