Foxe's Book of Martyrs

A few things about that Foxe's Book of Martyrs book:
"What I find is ironic, no, in fact pathetic, is how little attention this work receives in Christian churches, colleges and seminaries today (of the Protestant perspective). I have talked with numerous students and professors from a variety of Christian educational institutions and find that, for the most part, the work commonly called Foxe’s Book of Martyrs receives, at the most, just a passing reference in this generation. No other book, apart from the Bible, fueled the fires in the hearts of Englishmen to reject Papism and promote the biblical Gospel. "

Five times today I have tried to allow, and then force post, a comment by Rusty that contained a link to William Tyndale on facebook. Strangely, even though I can get the comment to appear, it will not stay on for more than a few minutes, and then is not here the next time I check. I've never had this happen before.

Anyone ever come across this dilemma?

So strange.

Or maybe everyone can see it except me?

Okay, I'll give it one more try.

From Rusty:

Today's crop of theologians don't like to remember at what cost the Bible was preserved for them so they can casually peruse through it over coffee and donuts...

Besides all that stuff could get in the way of unity with Catholics and others who would gladly burn them just as promptly today if they had power over civil law as they once did.

I remind people of this much overlooked man as ofter as I can...

I think the Devil still has it in for William after all the damage he inflicted to his pathetic temporary kingdom....
