Today's Quote

Quote of the day...
Most homeschoolers don’t homeschool just to isolate their children from the public education system (as is often claimed), but they want to ensure their children are taught critical thinking skills (which by and large are sadly lacking in public education—particular in science when it comes to origins), and to teach them a Christian worldview.

"Marcus and Marcellianus were twins, natives of Rome, and of noble descent.
Their parents were heathens, but the tutors to whom the education of the children was intrusted, brought them as Christians."

The above is a direct quote from Foxe's Book of Martyrs. The quote of the day reinforces my conviction in the importance of homeschooling. It saddens me that many of our friends and even pastors don't see the danger of letting their children be tutored and supervised by heathens (unbelievers)

I was just listening to a few of his sessions from the Red Deer Homeschooling conference. SO GOOD! I am praying that by the time our kids are old enough to formally homeschool, there will be other Christians around us that go that route, too. The stats he shares from Already Gone are very revealing (and troubling).
